Television Engineer Jobs
The television engineer manages the television channel recording program feeds, tuning satellite feeds for programming and news, loading tapes for newscasts, monitoring transmitters and notifying engineering when problems occur. Television engineer sets up, controls and monitors television broadcasting equipment to transmit television programs and station breaks to viewing audience. The television engineer reads television programming log to ascertain name of program or station break, and at what time program or station break is scheduled to air. The television engineer controls the technical aspects of TV broadcasting and set up. He also verifies voice-over recording, using tape equipment, and informs supervisor of inconsistencies. The television engineer loads videotape equipment with videotapes containing program or station break or presses button on switching equipment to access videotape equipment.
The television engineer should have a diploma or a degree in electronics or engineering and should have sound experience in the handling of even the intrinsic broadcasting gadgets as well as other electronic gadgets like cameras and computers.
