Television Photographer Jobs
A television photographer works with digital, electronic and film cameras in multi- and single-camera operational conditions, producing pictures for directors by combining the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. The television photographer has to be adept in assembling, preparing and setting up equipment prior to filming a particular shot. He has to set up tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads, and headphones for the purpose. The television photographer offers advice on how best to shoot a scene, explaining the visual impact created by the angle of particular shots. The television photographer should be practicing required positions for pre-arranged shots. He has to study scripts, find solutions to technical or other practical problems. The television photographer should be prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas and take instructions from the news director.
The job candidate should excel and should have a sound background in media studies, performing arts, photography, or media production.
