Television Sports Reporter Jobs
The television sports reporter will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and producing newsworthy sports events and stories. The television sports reporter has to brainstorm, research, videotape, write, and edit feature-length sports stories and briefs about the latest happenings on and off the field for the weekly news cast. He has to contribute during sports news meetings and appear on set with anchor for interview wrap-ups and putting in queries for analysis of the performance of a particular team. The television sports reporter generates and maintains news sources and contacts of sportspersons belonging to all sports, but gives preference if the sport is one of the popular ones or not.
Qualifications and Requirements for the post of the television sports reporter include
- Bachelor\'s degree in a related field and/or two years reporting experience,
- Profound knowledge in sports and how to play them generally.
- Ability to operate a camera.
- Non-linear video editing experience.
