Television Editor Jobs

The television editor is responsible for motivating, teaching, and mentoring a diverse channel group of content developers and copywriters. The television editor must possess excellent communicational, written, and interpersonal skills. He is responsible for correcting and editing day-to-day content operations of television room and website content, budgeting and hiring of staff and maintenance of journalistic and legal standards. The television editor directs and coordinates activities of various departments of the television network. He confers with executives and production staff members regarding budget, station policy, program coverage of special events, and production problems. The television editor originates or approves feature ideas and sends ideas to personnel of assignment department for implementation. He also monitors development and reviews edits content copy. The television editor is also responsible for approving program content or issues directions for changes or modification.
A minimum five years experience in content editing is needed in the potential candidate. The qualified candidate must have achieved a baccalaureate of higher degree in journalism or any editing related field.
