Traffic Safety Lead Instructor (Part-time week days)

The Army Traffic Safety Training Program (ATSTP) Lead Instructor will be responsible for providing Motorcycle Safety Foundation Courses and in-classroom POV instruction to students at CONUS and OCONUS locations. The Lead Instructor has supervisory responsibility over the ATSTP Basic Instructors assigned to the installation, and instructors temporarily assigned in a support capacity.
The ATSTP Lead Instructor is responsible for delivering required training curricula in accordance with all applicable standards and guidelines. Delivery of training includes all actions required for preparation of students, classrooms, materials, and equipment. The Lead Instructor conducts student-centered learning activities on theory and application of Traffic Safety as outlined in the Government identified Program of Instruction (POI) and the ATSTP Performance Work Statement (PWS).
The Lead Instructor will serve as the primary interface with Installation Safety Office ensuring that all contractual obligations are satisfied and will be responsible to the Area Manager for timely and accurate submission of reports, schedules and key information. The Lead Instructor is responsible for the program training and supervision of all other instructors assigned to the installation.
The Lead Instructor maintains accountability of students during training, and shall provide a daily roster of student completion to the Installation Safety Officer (ISO), if required. Lead Instructor assists with the development of training schedules, lesson material updates and other Traffic Safety Issues as required by the Area Manager, PM/APM or the Installation Safety Officer (ISO). The Lead Instructor prepares, maintains, and submits program reports outlined in the Cape Fox Government Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or directed by PM/APM or Area Manager. Lead Instructor performs other tasks as assigned by Area Manager.
The Lead Instructor coordinates all training with the Installation Safety Office, other instructors and the Area Manager and secures, maintains, and is responsible for assigned CFGS or Government Furnished Equipment.
Lead Instructor is the primary hand receipt holder for CFGS property at the assigned installation and performs operational checks, corrective and preventive maintenance to maintain equipment in proper working order. He/she initiates and follows up on parts/supplies orders with Area Manager's approval. When required, the Lead Instructor transports materials and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
Lead Instructor is responsible for the work schedule for other assigned instructors ensuring that the hours worked follows the contractual agreement for full time and part time employees. He/she will coordinate with sub-contractors as applicable to ensure sub-contractors provide services outlined in sub-contracting agreement.
The Lead Instructor maintains a clean and safe work environment and is responsible for adherence to company standard operating procedures (SOP).
The Lead Instructor performs many duties with the use of office automation equipment such as computers, fax machines, audio visual devices, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Access.
Work is performed in both a classroom setting and outdoors on a training range and may require occasional overnight travel.
The Lead Instructor ensures adherence to all company safety rules and SOPs in area of responsibility, rectifies unsafe actions and/or conditions immediately, and participates in maintaining safe work environment by sharing and participating in all safety related meetings, and training.

Must possess a valid vehicle license with motorcycle endorsement and be free of alcohol or drug related traffic offenses, and suspension or revocation of driver’s license within the past 3 years. The Lead Instructor must have no criminal record and pass all CFGS and Government background checks
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalency
Must possess Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach certification to teach BRC and BRC2. Familiarity with Army Traffic Safety Training Program (ATSTP) approved Programs of Instruction and MSRC or ARC RiderCoach certifications are a plus.
Must possess the ability and knowledge to make minor repairs to CFGS equipment as identified in the CFGS ATSTP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time even in adverse weather conditions and be able to lift heavy objects (i.e. fuel containers, tool boxes, motorcycle parts, etc.).
Must complete and maintain CPR and First Aid training certifications
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
