Under general direction, the Studio Production Specialist is responsible for facilitating all aspects of studio and field based audio\/video production for live broadcasting, distribution, and video streaming. Additional post production responsibilities may include audio\/video editing, motion graphics, soundtracks, video compression and delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works in collaboration with clients and studio staff assisting in the production of a variety of audio and video products for live broadcasting, distribution, and video streaming. Operates video switcher, cameras, hard disk video recorders, and audio mixing boards as needed. Adjusts\/maintains\/troubleshoots studio camera equipment, lighting equipment, and audio equipment. Responsible for the technical direction of scheduled VILT classes, including the following: monitoring of live broadcast, management of audio board, session recording, roll in videos, and camera position and switching. Under the guidance of senior staff, facilitates pre-production and production planning activities. Conducts field-based audio and video production, interacting with clients and operating all portable audio and video equipment; transports and sets up lighting and audio equipment as required; provides limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment. Plans and performs audio and video post-production tasks including reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing. Utilizes computer graphics and special effects software for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts. Compresses audio and video projects for output; makes audio and video products available in a variety of formats. Other duties as assigned. Physical Risk: Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions. Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and\/or other conditions. Qualifications An associate or bachelor\u2019s degree in television production and\/or completion of a certificate program in television production from an accredited technical institute is a plus. 0-5 years of professional experience. Any combination of education and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. Demonstrate customer service excellence by clearly and concisely communicating work status, methods, instructions, problems, requirements, options, and concerns with team members, managers, and customers. Work as part of a team to establish project deliverables. Participate in meetings with customers, team members, contractors, and others to exchange information, make decisions, and\/or provide updates. Knowledge of professional audio and video field production set-up, procedures, terminology and execution is a plus. Knowledge of professional live television set-up, procedures, terminology and execution is a plus. Knowledge of production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, video switchers, graphics manipulation, lights and lighting boards, and audio mixing boards is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft software platforms including Windows, Office Suite, and assorted internet browsers. Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
