The ideal candidate has excellent news judgement, is aggressive when covering breaking news and is digital/social media savvy. They must possess sharp writing and copy editing skills as well as advances people skills.
Oversees producers and the producing of newscasts. Manages the content of newscasts, including copy, graphics, etc. Makes editorial decisions, including what stories will be included in the newscasts.
Makes final decisions on placement of stories. Creates work flow procedures. Hires producers and writers. Creates action plans based on research. Troubleshoots problems that arise during the newscast.','','','!*!Minimum of four years management experience and five years’ experience producing newscasts in medium to large market.
