Responsible for creative development, production, content quality and budget performance of assigned projects. Manages full scope of creative, content, production and some cost/benefit decisions for assigned programs. Serves as a resource to junior members of the staff. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Independently produces full scope of discrete show segments including identifying, developing and coordinating content, creative elements, production and talent.

Determines and develops show topics, scheduling tapings, booking guests, preparing the host, determining the air schedule of the show etc. Independently prepares to be highly knowledgeable of the content of the programming, live and/or taped, in order to anticipate and react to unexpected situations. Provides information relevant to enhancing content.

Produces in-studio segments; coordinates and executes remote shoots and guest interviews. Identifies casting opportunities and new talent.

Evaluates, identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet production requirements.

Recommends alternative methods for shooting and editing to enhance each production project.

Oversees the technical standards, show formatting, spot formatting, deal memos, contracts and production policies.

Organizes and communicates research and footage acquisitions needs.

Schedules assignments and edits in order to meet all show requirements.

Assists in interviewing and training production staff.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Additional Job Description

Responsible for creative development and production of content in collaboration with our internal partners, external clients and other initiatives as assigned.

Determines shooting and production approach and style, content quality, budgetary impacts, and delivery of assets across multiple platforms for all assigned projects.

Leads and coordinates crew during production and managing the preparation of materials and creation of elements to be included in the segment or show.

Ability to work with Senior Leadership in the preparation and execution of on-camera performances in the delivery of employee communications, training and any other content.

Possesses strong creative writing skills, good editorial judgement and s keen sense of visual storytelling.

Determines shooting locations, backdrops and/or setting for shoots and identifies production support needed to execute.

Creates rundowns, scripts, content outlines, etc. to execute the production of segments or shows; prepares and conducts interviews with subjects; prepares, directs, and coaches on camera talent.

Possesses excellent field production skills including assessment of field lighting requirements and setup, on camera talent and ambient audio needs, communications needs for crew, remote guests, talent, and all other aspects of production to support the shoot.

Background in shooting with a variety of high end, professional digital cameras such as Canon c300, Canon c200, D5 and other models to capture interviews, broll and show content to be utilized in program and segment editing.

Manages all aspects of postproduction and serve as primary client contact on these projects. Works with that client through approval & delivery.

Proficiency in editing utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition and Media Encoder to produce and deliver digital content in support of assigned projects.

Understanding of virtual production programs such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Vimeo, etc. and ability to apply to clients' communications needs. Experience in mixing aspects of virtual platforms with productions systems such as Tricaster or vMix to execute high level meetings and communications, both internally for our leadership and externally for our community partner preferred.

Demonstrates clear expertise and in-depth working knowledge of all areas of the producing production function.

Implements assigned projects independently with periodic guidance from management. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Broadcast Television experience preferred.
