This position will work with content creators across all departments at National Geographic Partners to help coordinate, produce and edit digital storytelling. He/she works with a variety of reporters, editors and producers preparing editorial content on a daily and special project basis. This position reports to the Director of Digital Programming.
Assists editors and reporters in digital production to complete editorial production as needed. (40%)
Produces daily editorial content for a digital audience. Maintains a high standard for production values in order to achieve the greatest consumer impact. Works with advertising, editorial, social media and technology teams to accomplish these objectives. (30%)
Tracks the success of online experiences against established goals and deliverables. Establishes, documents and monitors project schedules, budgets, deadlines, and deliverables. Communicates project status and strategic updates across internal divisions. (10%)
Ensures overall quality and consistency of all website content and user-related communications. Ensures that the NGP corporate brand identity standards and plans are implemented consistently across the Internet site(s). (10%)
Continuously monitors industry and competitive landscape, maintains time records and performs other duties as assigned. (10%)
Minimum Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum one year of related experience. Some experience working in an editorial and/or agency environment preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Knowledge of HTML, digital content management and publishing systems preferred.
