The Arts and Humanities Division is seeking a full time faculty member in Television Production. The successful candidate will teach one-hundred and two-hundred level courses in basic video, electronic news gathering, multi-camera dramatic directing, and independent dramatic production. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will coordinate the Television and Radio curriculum and instructional facilities. Responsibilities include hiring and supervision of adjunct faculty, scheduling classes, and managing the student studio, classrooms, lab facilities and equipment cage. The candidate will work with the Department Chair on curriculum development and outcomes assessment, and function in a collaborative atmosphere in an all-digital production environment.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Television Production or related field, minimum of five years television production experience, and a minimum of three years college-level teaching experience is required, or a combination of education and experience. Community college teaching experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with full script-to-screen production, field and studio production, and a working knowledge of the Final Cut editing environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage instructional facilities and equipment, and function in an all-digital production environment. Radio production experience a plus.
