Responsible for successfully overseeing the management of local sales teams for the purpose of maximizing revenue, improving market share, and promoting the values and objectives of the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop revenue generating quarterly sales plans and appropriate action for achievement
Prepare weekly projections and monitor activity level
Develop and communicate the sales strategy and tactics necessary to achieve and exceed annual sales budgets
Ensure SR superior customer care in the areas of; timely order confirmations, schedule stewardship, makegoods, revisions and respond to requests within 24 hours.
Directly hire, supervise, motivate, train and manage Sales Managers and sales teams maximizing retention/performance and ensuring optimal performance of Sales area and revenue goal achievement
Maintain effective communications with executive team and managers to ensure Sales Plan is executed and/or modified as needed and that revenues goals are achieved
Direct entire Local Sales business unit/area, setting reasonable, achievable, but “stretch” expectations, with responsibility for resource allocation, including budget, training and personnel
Guide the work efforts and management of Sales Managers/Team Leaders, including field sales and may occasionally be directly involved in generating revenue; responsibility includes combined performance of the team as well as the individual performance of team members
Articulate how sales teams can create and maintain a competitive advantage through effective planning, positioning and execution
Mentor with, and improve skills of, team members with special emphasis on Sales Managers
Oversee and monitor strategic accounts, sales support, and/or inside sales
Partner with other departments to insure maximum effective selling processes
Assist in implementing and monitoring corporate related sales initiatives & training
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Required: Experience working with major advertising agencies
Exceptional interpersonal and customer relationship skills required, along with strong demonstrated abilities in cross functional collaboration and presentations
Strong demonstrated interpersonal and leadership abilities
Demonstrated success in high energy positions requireing solid time management skills and persistence in pursuit of goals
Proven experience as a team builder
Requires travel, and client trips / development of relationships (may involve evenings or weekends)
Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent education and experience)
Additional education beyond the bachelor’s degree level preferred but not required
