As the Director of Broadcast & Digital Content for PLAY TV, you will create and manager the content strategy for our corporate over-the-top (OTT) streaming experience called PLAY TV. You will pursue unique, compelling stories and tell them with an engaging cinematic style.
The work created will range from short-form video to live broadcasts, experiential events, and long form documentaries. You will lead the effort to evolve this service (launched in 2020) to become
an always-on, personalized edutainment destination covering all things video for professional media/entertainment and marketing/communications audiences around the globe.
Working closely with the content and demand generation teams you will
create and manage the content themes, calendar and narrative to ensure we have the right content to achieve our customer retention and new business growth goals. This channel will serve customers and prospects. You will collaborate with teams across Brightcove to identify relevant content and creatively find ways to broadcast this content to global audiences. This is a new role and we are excited to integrate a powerful broadcast content plan to elevate our brand and reach to global organizations.
Define the vision, goals, and opportunity for this new streaming experience. Determine how Brightcove will use PLAY TV content moving forward, addressing value to the customer while delivering on our go to market goals.
Manage the creation, re-purposing, and optimization of content deliverables, as well as a team of external agencies and vendors to supplement our efforts with additional creative content assets.
Coordinate content activities, working across disciplines and the overall project lifecycle. Work in close partnership with the Creative Team including copywriters and graphic designers to ensure that content is developed with a channel-specific and customer-centric approach and aligned to our overall go to marketing plays and audiences.
Lead content efforts through information architecture design, content modeling, and taxonomy definition.
Collaborate with specialists in digital marketing, brand and CX strategy, to ensure content plans dovetail with associated strategies (e.g. personalization, CRM, SEO, brand).
Establish success metrics and KPIs. Provide regular overview of performance and analysis and apply relevant customer insights to help define effective and innovative streaming video content, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Develop a customer-centric organic content strategy and editorial calendar with a balanced approach to product marketing and brand storytelling.
Be a leader and catalyst who brings big, bold ideas and inspires others to deliver best in class concepts and creative thinking, obtain buy-in, and effectively and efficiently implement ideas at scale.
years experience in television broadcast and production and/or digital content strategy experience within B2B companies / tech / global organizations with strong team management skills.
Demonstrated passion for delivering rich broadcast content experiences across a range of industries.
A strong point of view on what constitutes a great delivered viewing experience with content, and exceptional communication skills with a focus on presentation and storytelling.
Experience with content management systems and sound understanding of best practices for organizing and tagging content for a digital environment.
Experience in scheduling, creating, and producing broadcast content, as well as finding and hiring talent, producers, and associated vendors.
Willingness to get down and dirty with projects while still leading a team.
Must be able to interact well with video producers, hired talent, and external agencies.
Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
Utilize state-of-the-art television / video technology; experience with Brightcove a plus.
