Lead/Executive Producer

The Microsoft Casual Games Studio is focused on delivering the best casual games for Windows 10, Mobile Platforms and beyond.

We are looking for an experienced Lead/Executive Producer to join us as we develop, release and support our Microsoft Casual Games on the Windows, iOS, and Android and Web platforms.

Responsibilities

The Lead/Executive Producer will be responsible for the day to day management and execution of Production related activities for the Microsoft Casual Games portfolio across numerous platforms, including Windows, HTML5/Web, iOS, Android, and others. You will own the products from inception to post-launch, including all aspects of the assigned portfolio of products. You will manage a team of internal Microsoft Producers across several projects, balancing the work-load between the producers as well as yourself. You will manage the relationships with multiple internal and external development teams, from a remote/work from home work environment. You will demonstrate a commitment to exceptional quality and will work closely with Monetization, Design, Marketing and Ad Operations teams to deliver results across the portfolio. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that are excited to dream, manage and create the highest quality Casual Games.

Tasks:


Product Ownership

Own a portfolio of games to be developed, released and supported across Windows, iOS, Android and Web Platforms

Directly manage multiple Producers across multiple titles

Track and Report development efforts and title performance against defined KPI’s

Create and maintain project tracking documents across a portfolio of Microsoft Casual Games

Manage relationships with current external development partners

Help make decisions regarding future development partners

Assist in long-term planning for the Microsoft Casual Games Portfolio

Drive Milestone Acceptance and Partner Work Approval processes

Prove a commitment to quality, balancing schedule concerns with product quality

Internal Development

Own the internal development team backlog for a team of 4-10 developers

Work to prioritize the internal backlog across multiple products, platforms and releases

Manage day-to-day development with Producers assigned to each product

Own Internal Partnerships

Build, Manage & Maintain partnerships with internal partners on a variety of initiatives involving Microsoft Casual Games Properties

Including MSN, Windows, Xbox, Microsoft Account

Coordinate with Ad Development and Operations teams

Coordinate with Microsoft Casual Games Marketing teams

Coordinate with Business Development and Legal teams across multiple products

Coordinate with Business Management team on reporting results

Process Optimization

Work to continually update processes and procedures to help all teams work efficiently on multiple fronts simultaneously

Work to optimize work-flows with partner teams within Microsoft including Test, Loc, UR, Community, User Acquisition ect..

Work to optimize work-flows and processes with our external development partners

Be committed to constant growth and improvement

Leadership and Communication

Act as a leader of the Microsoft Casual Games Team, consistently demonstrating Microsoft Values

Develop full product roadmaps and plans across all assigned titles

Communicate forward looking plans, current status and past results to Microsoft Casual Games Leadership

Focus on results


As a member of the Microsoft Casual Games Team, you will:


Create and drive plans development on multiple platforms across a growing portfolio of titles

Be driven by measurable results and accountable to agreed upon metrics

Consult on a regular basis with Studio Leadership team to align expectations and deliverables

Be able to multitask between features, platforms, and projects smoothly and efficiently


Qualifications

Qualifications and skills


10 Years’ Experience in App/Game Production/Publishing

5 Years’ Experience in Casual and/or Mobile Games Development

Experience in Mobile App Development/Production

Experience working both with internal and external development teams

Excellent understanding of the game release process

Experience developing, planning, and executing across multiple products, simultaneously

Experience with analyzing BI to make business decisions.

Solid Communicator with both internal and external partners

Thorough understanding of scheduling and prioritization

Solid Manager able to directly manage a variety of experience levels, skillsets, and roles

Demonstrated knowledge of Casual Games competitive landscape & market trends- PC & Mobile


Extra/Bonus Qualifications and skills


Bachelor's degree ( )

First Party Game Development

Experience in First-Party Publishing

Experience with Windows Store apps

Experience with multi-player/online services

Experience working in/with remote teams
