Social Media Coordinator

Profile

Utilize skills in writing, design and multimedia production to support the Communications Manager (CM) in generating content for internal and external audiences as part of the college’s strategic integrated marketing and public relations communications, which include social media platforms, news releases, the HCC website, and other emerging technologies. The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining HCC’s social media channels, with a focus on maximizing reach and engagement through the strategic use of content that is consistent with the college’s brand and mission.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications-related field, or equivalent years of education and experience.
One year professional work experience performing social media and other related communications duties.
Demonstrated informational and persuasive writing skills. Web and social media content writing skills preferred.
Knowledge and skills in a wide variety of web-based social media platforms. Knowledge of web-based measurement and analytical tools preferred.
Knowledge of content management systems. Site Executive experience preferred.
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop preferred.
Demonstrated skills in photography, videography, and digital editing.
