The television news reporter is expected to produce, write, and edit sportscasts and also record and edit national sports highlights. They ensure that all content meets the program standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. The television news reporter reads out news headlines related to all the sectors whether it be politics, science, or sports. He should be proficient enough to conduct probing, in-depth, and engaging interviews and should possess extensive knowledge of news production techniques.The ideal television news reporter candidate needs a minimum of four years of full-time professional reporting experience as well as two years anchoring experience, as well as knowledge of how to shoot and edit video. The candidate must have a highly effective on-air performance with excellent news judgment.
